The Royal's Visit Arrowsreach!Arrowsreach is to hold an event that will have their Majesties attend. This event will involve competition in both the martial and pageantry categories. If you're a Light combatant who's been itching to have their skills recognized, a Heavy with a grudge against those pesky lights, Or a Fencer just wanting to be seen. The day will include target archery for those unauthorized for combat. A heraldic Mini war, Rapier tournament, a barbecue lunch, High Tea with their Majesties. And Individual Light combat on the straight and narrow! A pageantry competition will be running threw out the day so, get dressed up get your mates and come on down! When and whereSunday, 27th June, 2010 The event will be held on the Oval of Croydon Secondary College, Croydon Road, Croydon 3136 ( google maps) The school can be rather confusing to get around, so here is the Site Map Want to Help? or bring food?Anyone who would like to offer their skills/services or food, is urged to contact Auicia the event steward. As all help is welcome. How much?Family prices will be given upon application, including prices for under 12’s To Book Please Email the Event Steward with, SCA and Mundane names, Membership numbers as well as how many are attending. Current Timetable11:00-11:30 – Arrival, practice shots and guests set up 11:30-1:00 – Individual archery target shooting. This will run as a series of target ranges with a scoring system yet to be announced shooting at man shaped targets and an Agincourt line. All who wish to participate are invited to do so as authorisation is not required to compete 1:00-1:30 – Rapier tournament, as well as Barbecue lunch. This tournament is run off a card game and is timed to be 30 minutes. Further details can be given upon request. 1:30-3:00 – Heraldic mini war and pageantry competition. Teams of up to five fighters a side will fight in a tournament, which has a focus on pageantry displays. The format will be double elimination with upon the second loss the team shall leave the competition. Teams can consist of lights and heavies and are encouraged to be from a household or a group, however if there are individuals who wish to fight but do not have a team teams will be made for them to fight in. They will also be running a competition for mass display of pageantry running at the same time, which includes both spectators and fighters and can include banners, garb, accessories etc. 3:00-3:30 – Queen’s high tea and court. At court, the winners of the previous three tournaments will be award and the winner of the pageantry competition will be announced. This will be closing court, as their majesties must leave, however people are invited to stay longer. 3:30 onwards - Individual light combat. Combatants will take to a narrow field 22 yards in length and compete in a double elimination competition.
