Arrowsreach's rapier training is every Thursday night at Yawarra Primary School,Darwin Road, Boronia 7.45pm-9.45pm

Activities

Everyone is welcome to participate in any of the training activities including heavy combatants and the focus is on training, learning and having a good time.

In additional to the standard rapier training we offer, we also have the flexibility to undertake studies of period sword manuals for various combat systems and weapons e.g. German Long Sword. Such studies fall under the SCA's Royal Guild of Defence structure.

Under the Guild structure students are permitted to use actual period sword techniques like half swording, warding and grappling. A video of these techniques can be found at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kj4Ng6DBfrg

Costs and Related Facilities

Cost:- Gold coin.

The venue has outside play equipment, basket ball courts and an oval. It basically family friendly and the car park is in front of the hall.

Public transport:- The buses runs from Boronia station to Knox City. The bus stop is located near the shops. It takes about 3 mins to walk to the hall from the bus stop.

The local shops include a curry take out, 2 pizza stores, Milk Bar and Fish and Chips.

Master Piers was the lucky winner of the door prize drawn on the 16 August 2007.
