Code of Conduct



1. It is the first duty of every member of the Arrowsearch Guardsman to protect the populace of Arrowreach and her borders.
2. It is the second duty of every Guardsman to ensure service is fun for all.
3. All players that class themselves as Arrowsreach at heart will be able to serve.
4. All Guardsman will maintain their state of readiness to fight our enemies by ensuring their skills and equipment are of a high standard.
5. All Guardsman will take pride in their appearance and abide by the Guardsman uniform code.
6. Serving under the Guardsman Banner will not restrict a Guardsman ability to hold loyalties to any other Household or Unit.
7. Guardsman will follow the orders of our Leader.
8. The Guardsman Leader will be the first to take the field and the last to leave it.
9. Guardsman Leaders will hold current SCA membership.

Leadership Selection

• The position of Guardsman Leader will be granted by a test of skill and strength.
• Leaders will service a term of 12 months.
• Each May/June a tournament designed to test the skill and leadership qualities of its combatants will be held. The Tournament winner will be granted the Guardsman Leader position.
• The Tournament will be structured in such a manner to ensure heavy and light combatant have equal chance of winning the Tournament.
• If at the Leadership Tournament a draw between Guardsman’s occurs, the victory will be decided over a game of chess.



Guardsman Uniform Code

• All Guardsman will wear the Guardsman tabard while servicing in active deputy under the banner.
• A strong preference is requested to wear the Guardsman helmet which is considered the lowest standard or a higher quality period helmet.
• Don’t panic we offer a range of options to assist with the helmet and you don’t have to buy one

Guardsman Tabard Requirements

• All Guardsman are required to wear one.
• The tabard body must comply with the Guardsman design but the selves can be used to blazon Household or personal devices. If this option is chosen then Guardsman are asked to supply their own tabard.
• Arrowsreach will supply completed default tabards if Guardsman decide this option.
• Guardsman are requested to wear black cotton drill pants.
